It is half-time for NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament!

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is half way over on. A week ago we had 65 teams, all with different goals and expectations, and now there are only 16 teams left. The sweet 16th Some of these teams like Kentucky and Syracuse, probably expecting to be here, and will not be satisfied until they make the last four.

Other teams like Cornell and Northern Iowa, probably not really expect it so far, and even if they lose this week, will feel this tournamentwas a success. Cornell could be a threat because of their three-point shooting, but I can not see it linked to KY, and I expect a 2-digit number loss, but also expect a high scoring game. But either way, it's nice to see the Ivy League represented.

Hey, the Bulldogs are also in there. Oh wait, it's not Yale, it is the Butler Bulldogs. How many teams are Bulldogs to the NCAA at all? That seems a safe bet in the NCAA, just bet that the Bulldogs to win, you probablyhave one in four chances, right. And then there are teams like Kansas and Georgetown, the first or second round had ended, and simply need to question what went wrong. One thing is for sure to see even the most skilled college trailer tires unlikely that Kansas will collapse. This leaves a lot of broken brackets. This could leave low ratings for the last four. Their big 3 do not really mastered yet and they're still win the big money, so they are a dangerous team in the coming weeks. I think for the next round at least Purdue can hang around,their D should keep the game on a double-digit lead, but I do not keep their offense step. As far as a simple way, no one will remember in a few years ago, when we look back on the record books, and it shows all the teams to beat Duke to win the championship, many of us do not even remember how good or bad, the other teams were. And the Blue Devils get another banner hanging in their gym, and at the end that all that really matters.

Well, if all thenext few weeks we will be too early to talk about the upcoming NBA and NHL playoffs, and the beginnings of the MLB and college football season, but we are already in the back of our minds of potential surprises for next year's brackets, that are only a Barely a year away.

Simple vegetarian recipes for new vegetarians

Most of my friends and family are working hard soccer mom, basketball dad, super health conscious parents. Even my parents, friends lead very active lives and are still closely knit group who loves food, we pushed hard to make time for meals, create find 2 take hours to prepare. Now take that to the next level with dietary restrictions such as vegetables or vegetables only but without dairy products, and our recipe resources are even more limited.

We started on this pathbecause my mother, nicknamed Bubba by her grand babies, has a happy and a committed advocate of the vegan-ism for a while. But even before she was a vegetarian. While my husband and I are not prepared to do without eggs and fish, etc, including his cholesterol almost 300 points a year ago has us on a journey to a healthier way.

A year later, Jason's cholesterol under 200, which is far more manageable than 280! The factors are: he exercises 2-3 times per week, he takessome herbs prescribed by our doctor, and finally changed our diet. It took only 6 weeks his cholesterol almost 100 points lower.

The hardest thing about being vegetarian, the thought of all the delicious steaks and the family of all time favorite fried chicken and rice. We had quite creative in our meals, sometimes so much to us than our children.

Tips for your transition:


Just search for vegetarian and vegan recipes. If youmake cooking a chore, or if it is too daunting, you can give up entirely.
Start eating vegetables with you and your family likes (not scare everyone immediately with eggplant, if it does not already make a joint appearance
Plan your meals a week, instead of just one meal at a time (this will make your shopping easier and to reduce spoilage)
Have no fear to spice to your meals. Vegetables and butter may not be as appetizing after three consecutive mealsit.
Buy a lot of your favorite fruit. While there are tons of great easy vegetarian and vegan desserts, often the sweet Gala apple or a ripe mango will stave off that craving.
Your diet should be colorful. A great rule of thumb, my doctor has taught me. If your disk is a color, your digestive system does not work so well. You want green, red, yellow in your meal. For example, if you know tofu roast with potatoes and eat it with rice, they are all / yellow in colorand is not a balanced combination of foods for a meal.
Have your children help you choose the vegetables and fruit in the supermarket (if practical). This gives them ownership in the meal. Heck, I would they start to cook with you. We all enjoy the meal more if our children to participate in the cooking process. Our 3-year-old is the best help in the kitchen!

We did not switch because of animal rights, although this should be considered seriously, but it was because thethought of losing my husband to the way we ate seemed ridiculous. We make these changes because our health and the little tips helped (and continue to help) us eat better for life.

7 Six Pack Abs How to Build Muscle Fast

Many women find that the most attractive part of the male body, the definition of beautiful six pack abs. Six Pack Abs are not only sexy, but are a symbol of a fit and healthy people.

Women are instinctively attracted to physically fit men. So it is no wonder that in any gym, you see men of all ages to do crunches, leg lifts and sit-ups religiously in the hope of the coveted six pack abs. Unfortunately, most men never get to see her finely defined Abdominal muscles because they tend to sabotage their progress.

The following seven tips will make you not your own worst enemy in your quest for six-pack are:

1. Avoid fast digesting carbohydrates. Negative and limiting beliefs in any or all of these areas need to be uprooted, re-engineered and positive beliefs in order to moveto be transmitted.

It is important to believe in themselves and take risks. support holding a mind full of positive beliefs, encourage and push you forward. If you start taking risks to start jumping on the opportunities and challenges take amazing things to happen, it has a remarkable life and in the middle, which is an amazing person. A family history of change

Not so long ago, a typical Saturday at the Taylor household consisted of video games, fast food dinner and banana splits for dessert. Evenings were spent curled up in front of a family DVD, munching on popcorn and guzzling soda. "I guess I thought we were really spending much time together," says Michelle, whose sons are nine and eleven. "I never realized that I actually damaging my children's health." A recent trip to the pediatricianMichelle woke up to the damage the junk food and sedentary jobs were created.

Both sons are considered overweight (body mass index on their 90% for her age). The pediatrician noted that if the young do not get their weight under control, they are at greater risk for diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Michelle Taylor knew it was time for action. "That was our wake-up call. My father died of heart failure at a very young age. Idid not want the same fate for my sons. "She was suspicious about their boys put on a drastic diet to find out they were a coup stage, when they immediately took away the video games, movies and junk food. So they began gradually. A healthy changes and take the boys at planning a healthier lifestyle for the whole family Here are some of their tips:


The Taylor family took a trip to the bookstore and bought a few cookbooks that focus on healthy eating. They learned to makelow-fat pizza with whole wheat crust, and had a pizza party. You pastry with applesauce instead of oil. And overall, they began to ways to find their favorite foods healthier. The biggest hit was the low-fat Banana Splits - the kids did not notice taste difference.
A family trip to the grocery store was helpful and informative. "We found so many alternatives to the junk we had eaten," says Michelle. And once I got the children involved, it actually startedwith an interest in raw vegetables. Now is one of their favorite snacks hummus dip with carrots and celery. The family also found that not much of a difference noticed when replacing white flour with whole grains, and full-fat products with reduced or no fat.
Soda was the first thing to be removed from the family shopping. Michelle bought "cool" water bottles (two for each member of the family) and kept it in the fridge filled with ice-cold water. After the family waswithout soda a few days she has not to be missed. In fact, says Michelle, who recently, the family went to a movie and ordered soda as a special treat. "No one could finish their soft drinks - they complained it tasted too sweet too thick."
Jess, Michelle's husband, took every bike in the shop for new tires and a tune-up. The family started cycling every night, or go on walks together. Now, instead of vegging in front of a DVD every night, they attack in healthyphysical activity.
The family also joined a gym, the wall offers tennis and racquetball, basketball and a climbing frame. "The gym is very family friendly," says Michelle, "and we pay for membership with the money we save at the grocery store and video store.
Both boys began to pursue other interests. Nine-year-old Michael would like he decided to learn martial arts. He takes a karate lesson twice a week now, instead of playing video games. Eleven-year-old Nathan have decided toSwim team in the gym. Both boys still play video games, but only occasionally. "There are too many other cool things to do," says Michael.

The whole Taylor family enjoys her new lifestyle, and feel much healthier. Both boys have started to lose weight at a slow and healthy rate. They still go occasionally for a treat, and enjoy a movie once a month or so. Now, instead of sitting side by side, a DVD, go along and talk to each other. Nathan says: "OurFamily rocks! "
