Let the Madness Begin

This past Sunday was Selection Sunday, the big day on the kick-off one of the biggest events in sports, March Madness. 65 teams are picked the title for a chance to participate in tournaments and compete for the coveted NCAA Basketball National. From the top seed to the middle of the big teams, everyone has a hope to reach the Final Four and ultimately win the title. Kansas is the # 1 overall seed in this year with Syracuse, Kentucky, and Duke.

(Before I continue, let me say that I'm not an expert in college basketball. I love March Madness, but as far as the teams go I know little about many teams in this tournament. I know, but know Maryland, my favorite team, and Duke, my least favorite team. Therefore, in these words, I will only say what I know. And of course feel free to disagree with me anyway.)

I personally think West Virginia or Ohio State may deserve to be on-site Duke, but I have my bias as a Maryland fan.To be fair, all three teams have played the track first. All three teams won their conference tournaments, but I feel that the ACC is weaker this year than usual. I'm not sure how Herzog, the winner of the game was the play-play when in Kansas is the No. 1 overall seed. Am I alone when I say I do not think is that good Duke this year? Hopefully Duke does not prove me wrong in the tournament! Although I think they got an easy draw with Villa Nova do (who has foughtTime), Baylor, and Purdue (who lost Robbie Hummel for the tournament). I'm not sure who they can top, but I hope someone does.

Now that I hated Duke on a bit, I will say in fairness that I am not sure that Maryland earned a # 4 seed because they are ranked according to the season 20 and blew it miserably in the ACC tournament. Greivis Vasquez just played one of his worst games of the year. I can not for his last second failed attempt a shot from my mind. It was terrible. MarylandI always do in big games. They have a good photo for the Sweet 16, but will play Kansas and I can not see how they could all get past Kansas, who is my pick to win. That assumes they can by Michigan State, who will always get hard in the tournament.

In the ACC tournament, Jon Scheyer was the one who as the ACC player of the year, not Greivis Vasquez played. He did not play great in the game, but he came through the bar against Georgia Tech in the ACCTournament finals. This is exactly what should a team leader and player of the year. It breaks my heart to say this, but I have to give credit when credit is due. Da'Sean Butler did the same for West Virginia in the Big East tournament. He came through the coupling by a last second shot to Georgetown in the finals, lost his second game-winner of the tournament.

And start as Thursday, the games. I'm super, as always, March Madness upset. I think it is probably the bestEvent in the sport. I have a few clips and plan to fill a few more to do. For those who do not know, and would like to try it for free on a console ESPN.com offers you a whopping 10 free clips this year. I'm sure this is not the last you hear from me during the tournament. Enjoy the "madness" everyone!

Winning NCAA Bracket Tips for March Madness

March Madness is like a thrilling experience, and what everyone loves to do is give her paper clip competition. Yes, to give its usually only a few dollars, but with several hundred entries, some serious money can be their gain. Just like any other form of sports betting you need to study and follow some strict rules to give themselves the best opportunity to win this year.

The absolute first rule is to close your eyes and pencil in the # 1 seed of the sweet 16th Neverhas a top seed in the first round, lost and do not try, the first pick. A second round upset only once every 5 years, so that only rely on us to seed go to the history and the No. 1 pencil for a sweet 16 to

Find disturbing is always a source of pride when filling out your brackets, but just remember, not carried away too much. Picking a big surprise in the first round is great, but do not start PRACTICE AS # 12 seed in the Sweet 16 for only buddies brag to your, you beteven on the legs.

The most common upset that you can really count on every year, the # 12 seed has pulled off upset at least one, but two for many years. The # 5 seeds are always ripe for major upsets and go ahead and get at least one on your console this year.

The selection of Final Four teams is always the most important factor in the win bracket contest. Think it will be weighted, which progresses faster than most contests in the tournament. A few tips to get your last fourTeam work and back. Also, do not all use the # 1 seed than the average, only two top seeds made it to the final four matches.

Another trend that can not be overlooked is that the Final Four Seeds 93% of them have been # 1 - # 4 seeds. This does not mean you can not choose someone outside of the top seeds, but when you realize just wrong, it usually means that you have made a donation to the winner of the competition.

Last one of the most overlooked tips is not too carried away with a Hot Teamin recent games. Many hot teams in the conference tournament and can win 4 games in 4 days. Winning a conference tournament, in fact, only one NCAA championship 25 percent of the time out.

Each year bracket is completely different, but you really need these tips and remain in force as many of them as possible. Good luck to all in this year's March Madness bracket contests.

March Madness Betting Tips

Now, the brigade of recreational bettors line up at the window and offer, and sometimes take away, line value from us, "Sharp" as March Madness is in full swing. It is clear to me that you are around a few mines on the way to less is more when it bets to March Madness, both in the NCAA and NIT tournaments, which are under way on Tuesday evening comes. The parity is plentiful, especially in the NIT tournament this year in college basketball. I can say, withoutQuestion, or many arguments that there are 5 or 6 teams in the NIT this round could be a winner in the big dance, and a few sweet in 16 teams is possible too. Always on the road records and documents in NIT home game match-ups look like, as they are played on teams courts and not to go to a neutral place until the semifinal games in New York. The home team always has an advantage, and we might have a short line or two of these fall value.

High seed in the NIT can be sometimes aDown on the ground, as she leans out of the NCAA tournament committee. Cincinnati comes into this category, mind, and SW Missouri State (RPI 21) and Creighton. These teams have first round byes, for example, and a decent number at home in their first NIT game, and depending on the line, it may be worth looking at the outsider in this scenario. Maryland is just happy to be here, and they are a regional # 1 seed, and Louisville, which also should be a stiff testtheir first game, so the big guys could be worth a look!

NCAA Tournament Trends are everywhere, I would not buy into all of them, look right here, right now. Who came limping in the tournament, and who came in hot and on a roll, I look to Kansas for example, 15-1 their last 16, and she won the Big 12 Tourney over Texas, who beat her with 25 at the beginning of this year? That is the question that makes the money. How's shooting percentage would in away games on the year? I can not stress enoughFree throw percentage results depend a lot of games on it.

I have heard so much about # 5 seed vs. # 12 seed. In the last five years, # 12 seed 10-9-1 ATS, hardly a money maker are even against the number, but are always competitive. The BEST ATS scenario in round 1 # 7 # has versus seeds 10 seeds in the last five years has been to 13-7 ATS. California vs. NC State in this scenario this season, Marquette vs. Alabama as well, and I could see both those # 7 seed in the hay to make the first Round. And last, but not least, have # 15 seeds are 65% ATS in the last five years, and always a big underdog. This fact is within the Coach Team # 2 posited a place of rest players after the game is decided early, and backdoor covers are emerging in the right scenario. Check the top two point getters and do your homework and find the best value in this scenario.

All in all, it should be a big tournament of the season, and it will be a Cinderella team or two in both the NCAA and NIT tournaments, andit will disturb a monster or two in round first Pick and choose your teams wisely sound money management and do not in all the hype or what Billy Packer and Digger Phelps says, and do your homework and look for real value and tangible objects, which in March Madness caught, Handicap, because that is what the pros do, I assure you.

Three # 12 # 5 begins Upset Seeds Seeds as March Madness Tournament - All 1, 2 & 3 Seeds Advance

Fourteen top-four seeded teams made it the Sweet 16 # 12 and three seeds upset # 5 seed in the first two rounds of the 2009 NCAA Basketball Tournament March 19 to 22.

Promotion to the Sweet 16 commandments continue their March Madness were # 1 seed Pittsburgh, Connecticut, North Carolina and Louisville, # 2 seed Duke, Memphis, Oklahoma and Michigan State, # 3 seed Villanova, Missouri, Kansas and Syracuse, and # 4 seeds Xavier and Gonzaga. Only # 4 seed WakeForest # 13 was from Cleveland State and # 4 seed Washington was removed from # 5 seed Purdue eliminated.

The three # 12 seeds that contain deducted upset the # 5 seed Wisconsin over Florida State, Western Kentucky over Illinois and Arizona over Utah. Other disturbing contain # 11 # 6 Dayton on West Virginia, Michigan and # 10 to # 7 LSU. Only one game went into overtime as Siena # 9 # 8 Ohio State eliminated in double overtime.

There were two dreadful blowouts as # 1 Connecticut flooded Poor # 16 out of 56 points Chattanooga, 103-47, and # 1 North Carolina made short process with # 16 of 43 points Radford, 101-58. Connecticut torn # 9 Texas A & M by 26 (92-66) in their second contest. In addition to Siena's double overtime over Ohio State, six other teams to win games won by a basket or less. They included Wisconsin, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Marquette, Purdue and Gonzaga. Purdue only would the Sweet 16th

Only a double-digit seed - # 12 Arizona would do it in the> Sweet 16th If you add up all 16 spots seeding, besting the record of 49 for the lowest ever, set the previous record of 50 in 1989. The place where top-seeded teams fared worst in this year's Midwest Regional # 4, Wake Forest was watched Utah # 5, # 6 West Virginia, Boston College # 7 and # 8 Ohio State eliminated in their first game.

The Big East was this year, the elite conference with an NCAA-record five teams among the last Sweet 16: Louisville, Connecticut, Pittsburgh,Villanova and Syracuse. North Carolina also tied Kentucky for the NCAA Tournament victories (98) with his victory over LSU.

Here are the 2009 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Regional Semifinals-Ups:

East Regional:

# 1 # 4 Pittsburgh vs. Xavier - Thursday, March 26
# 2 # 3 Duke vs. Villanova Thursday - March 26

West Regional:

# 1 # 5 Connecticut vs. Purdue - Thursday, March 26
# 2 Memphis vs. # 3 Missouri - Thursday, March26

South Regional:

# 1 North Carolina vs. # 4 Gonzaga - Friday, March 27
# 2 # 3 Oklahoma vs. Syracuse - Friday, March 27

Midwest Regional:

# 1 # 12 Louisville vs. Arizona - Friday, March 27
# 2 Michigan State vs. # 3 Kansas - Friday, March 27

So who is the elite 8?

Consider these cold, hard historical facts:

one has to know) If you know that no team less than a # 4 seed has the championship for 20 years in a row, won, you may want toRemove # 5 and # 12 Purdue Arizona.

This can be # 1 seed Pittsburgh, Connecticut, North Carolina and Louisville, # 2 seed Duke, Memphis, Oklahoma and Michigan State, # 3 seed Villanova, Missouri,

Syracuse, Kansas, and # 4 seed Xavier and Gonzaga.

2) Only three of the # 1 seeds are probably on the Final 4 because only 70% of the # 1 seeds advance advance into the elite 8th The probability say that either Pittsburgh, Connecticut, North Carolina or Louisville is not among theElite 8th

3) Amazingly, only one or two # 1 seeds have it in the final four in 18 of the last 24 years. Last year was an exception, because all four # 1 seeds made it into the final four for the first time ever.

Morehead State eliminated Alabama State 58-43 in the play-in game for the 64th Slot in the tournament.
